Since you get 6 channels, you need to specify particle sizes you want for each of the six channels. Predetermined size channels that coincide with indoor air quality and clean room industry standards are set at the factory, though you can order your channels with any custom size you want.

What is a "Cleanroom"?
Although the word cleanroom is used frequently in the air monitoring industry, many people really don't know what constitutes a clean room. A clean room is essentially a controlled environment in which levels of particulate contamination of all varieties are reduced.
Cleanrooms are divided into 2 basic types: Horizontal Laminar Air Flow and Vertical Laminar Air Flow. Horizontal Laminar Flow works by having HEPA filters in a wall force clean air from one side of the room to the other. In Vertical Laminar Flow, the filters push clean air down to the floor. Both types force air through the filters in a uniform, piston-like way known as Laminar Air Flow.
By using a quality particle counter, you can effectively measure how clean the air is in your clean room. The contamination control industry currently uses ISO 14644-1, formerly Federal Standard 209D to provide a standardized method for measuring the amount of particulate matter in a room.
